Starting down the dive professional pathway provides various opportunities to develop your skill set and further you diving career. There are many advantages in becoming a dive professional. Dive Guide

This program gives you the skills and experience required to safely lead groups of certified divers, and is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Professional without requiring you to complete an instructor program. Professional Dive Guides can work for SSI Training Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. You will earn the SSI Dive Guide certification after completing this program.

Dive Master

In addition to guiding certified divers, the SSI Divemaster assist on courses as a safety diver, work on dive vessels and resorts, and teach snorkeling courses. The course includes skill development both in confined and open water to the level that you can demonstrate them to others. Your training will also cover the safety aspects of being a dive leader, and you will learn how to best care for both certified divers and uncertified student divers in various conditions. Assistant Instructor

This program provides the skills, concepts, and teaching experience required to become a successful SSI Instructor. You will learn the SSI Teaching System and philosophy, how to assist Instructors in training and how to independently teach a variety of SSI training programs. In addition to assisting, you can actually teach classroom and pool skills under the indirect supervision of an SSI Open Water Instructor, and independently conduct Scuba Skills Updates, Try Scuba, and Perfect Buoyancy programs. Candidates who complete this program can earn the SSI Assistant Instructor rating or work all the way through to the SSI Open Water Instructor after having successfully passed the Instructor Evaluation in addition.

has the most important job in the entire dive industry: certifying new divers. The OWI ensures they have an amazing learning experience. This program provides candidates with the knowledge, concepts and training necessary to organize and conduct entry-level scuba training courses. Candidates will learn the SSI Teaching System and philosophy, and how to effectively teach and evaluate Open Water Diver students. It also prepares the candidate for their Instructor Evaluation.
