The WAVES Project is committed to help our veterans and their dive buddies become better, more confident and safer divers, by offering both Equipment Techniques and Perfect Buoyancy Specialty courses to add to their open water training.

Specialty programs are a great way to improve your current skills and learn new ones. After you complete 12 logged dives along with 2 Specialty courses you will automatically receive the SSI Specialty Diver Certification recognition cards.

Specialty Scuba Diving Course #1

Equipment Techniques
Increase your knowledge of the Total Diving System.

Academics and knowledge reviews need to be completed prior to your Equipment Techniques classroom session.

In this course you’ll learn how to choose, maintain and store your dive gear. This helps ensure good performance and increases the longevity of your equipment. You will earn the SSI Equipment Techniques Specialty certification.

Specialty Scuba Diving Course #2

Perfect Buoyancy
One of the most important techniques you will learn is how to maintain your neutral buoyancy, this is a skill you will continue to master as long as you are a diver.

Academics and knowledge reviews need to be completed prior to your Perfect Buoyancy pool session.

Now you're ready to increase your buoyancy control, minimize your breathing gas consumption and move effortlessly above the ocean floor.

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy program teaches you the skills and techniques needed to maximize your dive experience, increase your comfort in the water, and get the most from your equipment. You will earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification.
